Leslie Salter
Board Secretary
Leslie Salter is a long-time resident of the White Lake Area, moving to Whitehall in 1980. She has been the secretary for the Killer Blues Headstone Project Nonprofit for 15 years. She began her career working for the White Lake Beacon newspaper as a sales rep for 17 years and then transitioned to HarborLight Credit Union where she was the Director of Marketing for another 17 years.
Leslie has served on several boards and committees throughout the years including the Friends of the Playhouse Board as well as the Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. She has also been instrumental in planning and implementing A Taste of White Lake for several years and was co-chair for the Whitehall Walk the Beat Music Festival in 2023.
Leslie and her husband Steve, have organized and presented 14 Killer Blues nonprofit fundraisers at the Playhouse of White Lake. Leslie’s love of music and understanding of its value in the White Lake Communities makes her an asset to this nonprofit. When asked why she loves music she will most likely say, “Without music, life would be a mistake”.
